heyo! i saw that you wanted to see a version of scooby where the gang fights real monsters and have ptsd. i would personally recommend Scooby Apocalypse. its a comic published by dc thats, as the name implies, an au where scooby and the gang try to survive in a apocalyptic wasteland full of monsters. i think you'd like it!
Awww thanks for the rec !! i tried to get into that a little while ago but it just didn’t appeal to me that much (?). But i didn’t finish it so i shouldn’t cast judgement. The art looks solid and it seems like it has a plot, so if it looks like your cup of tea i’d say check it out!
ALSO during all this scoobynatural commotion i kinda glossed over the fact that we already have awesome scooby doo material where they fight real monsters, so just if anyone hasn’t heard about these yet:
the four renaissance direct-to-DVD movies Zombie Island, Witch’s Ghost, Alien Invaders and Cyber Chase are the. best. Scooby Doo movies. Period. And in those the gang does fight real monsters and it is glorious and incredibly well animated and well written!!
