One thing that's super cool about being in colorguard, and DCI, is the incredible support and love that come from group to group. The Phantomettes sang to the lamp from the Blue Stars as she came off the field and showered her with compliments and love as we headed on to the field. We did this at Semis, and then again at finals. This video is at finals, and you can see someone is videoing it, and some of our staff were watching and also caught the pure joy, as seen by the smiles on their faces. This feeling is something that you simply have to experience to understand. I love this activity so incredibly much, because it's so much more than just the counts, the drill, and the choreography. It's so much more than just a competition. It's love, it's passion, and it's friendship that is shared throughout every single corps. We love Lamp.

Day 2: the 2016 phantomette age outs! Riding the guard bus is the single decision that truly made this corps feel like home, and I am forever grateful to these beautiful, strong, and immensely talented women.
