You know. He shouldn’t even be surprised. This is how it always worked, he’d always end up running into Akira one way or another and it seems like this place wasn’t any different. How long had the thief of heart been here? Well, long enough to get a job at least.

Goro really isn’t missing the irony in this, does the little shit have five different jobs again? Well, he supposes he’ll find out soon enough.

Steeling himself he places a pleasant smile on his face, heading over to the counter and taking a seat on one of the stools, it felt like he was back in LeBlanc, and something about seeing the other teenager... He felt at ease. He almost wanted to laugh, but the feeling scared him more than anything-

“Good afternoon, Kurusu-kun. It’s a surprise to see you here” he comments calmly, setting his attache beside him, folding his hands and setting them on the counter “Let’s talk later, for now can I get a cup of tea? Whatever you suggest”

It’s not like cats are particularly fond of the water, so Akira made a very good case of Chesire being in the forest, and he had to absolutely agree, he was thinking the same thing. However, the problem now... Was figuring out WHERE exactly in the forest this cat was hiding.

Walking along side the phantom thief, Goro crossed his arms, one hand moving up to hold at his own chin as he thought it over “Have you ever read Lewis Carroll’s Alice in Wonderland? The Cheshire cat is able to turn itself invisible at will, so I wonder if there’s going to be a trick to this”

“The Disney version is also quite nice- I’m not a fan of the live action version however.” Goro sighs, giving a little shrug. At the very least, today would end up being a nice walk though the forest with Akira. He still couldn’t figure out why his heart felt so light around him these days... “Think if we shake a bag of cat treats, he’ll come running?” Goro suggests with a chuckle.

Alura nodded, Amon had started a revolution people wanted change and even with him gone that idea was not going to die, and maybe it shouldn’t. “I hope the council doesn’t try to sweep everything under the rug you know.” She turned to look at Auria her eyes wide, “I mean Amon was defiantly a scary dude, but he did have some good points, although his goal was never really peace.” She shrugged.

Auria agreed, meeting Alura's icy gaze. "The council will do as the council wants," she stated grimly. "But I believe what Amon preached is true. There are benders who abuse those who aren't gifted. Those people down there..." She motioned toward the crowd that had gathered, "want to raise their families and make their wages in peace. And they have to work twice as hard as the rest of us because they are ordinary. Sometimes I think that they are they greatest 'benders' of them all. They bend life." ((Total Iroh 1 moment there. hahah))

Alura’s eyes widened that meant this girl was a metal bender, she had heard about the metal bending police force and seen officers patrolling the city but she had never actually met a metal bender. “You’re a metal bender!” She gasped, “Oh wow that’s so cool. I’m a water bender myself, I came to the city to train with my aunt she’s going to teach me how to be a healer.” Alura said proudly.

"The city could certainly use more healers," Auria stated with a faint smile. "We're still trying to reconstruct after the takeover. I'm not even sure if the council is stable yet." She turned her attention to the man with the megaphone and sighed heavily; even after Amon's bending was revealed, the idea of equality still burned inside many non-benders.
