Yo, American here. And we do not have houses. I think the closest equivalent is each school having a mascot and we get “spirited” for the sport teams and that’s about it.

Also, sport carnivals sound awesome - i wish we got those lol

overalls: what would you do with one billion dollars?

A billion is a lot of money, so much that what I would do if I had that amount of money wouldn’t even come close to spending even half of it lmao. But some things:

- First thing I’d do is go to my Nannie and Pa’s house and sit them down and ask them if they would like to stay in their current house, or buy a new one wherever they wanted because now they have that option. If they wanted to keep the current house for some unfathomable reason, we’d completely remodel and fix it because it has some issues, but they really like it for some reason. Otherwise they could choose wherever they wanted.

- Buy my mom and dad a new house and my dad a new truck and my mom just, whatever the heck she wanted. Like, anything.

- Pay off all of our debt, mine and my parent’s.

- Buy myself one of those beautiful million dollar houses in the Niagara Region but probably also have a fancy apartment or something in Toronto and New York City.

- Not gonna lie, I like nice cars (purely in an aesthetic sense) and I would probably have a nice big garage for all the beautiful cars I want.

- Travel to any freaking country I want and stay there as long as I want.

- Go to every concert, play, musical, convention, etc. that I wanted.

- Give some money to all of my family, since we’re not huge and with that amount of money, I’d have a lot to spare.

- Give some random anonymous donations to people like old teachers I liked, or old friends or neighbours or someone who needs it.

- Fill up a bunch of people’s GoFundMe’s.

- Have a lot more pets because I won’t be worried about affording vet bills. Maybe even some farm animals.

- Like??? I don’t even know. I just want to be able to live in a nice house and not have to work at all and never worry about money and with a billion dollars, that would be easy. I’d have more money than I’d know what to do with.
