This archaic contraption is what a Dexcom sensor looks like before inserting. The bill for a box of 9 was $3500. A sensor lasts 10 days. Thank the Lord we have good insurance, but many do not. This device really does help me get control of the beast of a disease of diabetes in check when it is paired with my insulin pump. I am fortunate to have the Control IQ system and combining this system with a healthy lifestyle has gotten me into the best control of my life and it keeps on improving! I feel like I am aging backwards in more ways that one. 💉 All I wish is that everyone can afford to choose the means in which they control their chronic disease. 💉 The technology is out there, sadly, not all can afford it. Hell, not everyone can afford a vial of insulin that they need to keep them alive, let alone technology! OUTRAGEOUS! There is no excuse except for the greed of the bureaucracy of healthcare. $$$ 💉 #t1dawareness #t1d #t1dwarrior #iamfortunate #pharmasucks #bureoucracyofhealthcare #ineffablebureaucracy #insulin4all #technology4all #blessedbeyondmeasure https://www.instagram.com/p/CAFk7ypBfZt/?igshid=g9pfvkdzutvr
