TG: this games been setting us up to fail from the start
TG: pretending its your fault just because you fucked up the way it rigged you to from the start doesnt help anyone
TG: dont hate the player hate the game
TG: its like the trolley problem
TG: they give you two levers to pull and a bunch of hostages tied to the tracks and then the trolley epically derails and runs over all of them anyway and they say its because you pulled the wrong lever but then you find out later the timeline where you pulled the other one was doomed so everyone died anyway and it didnt actually matter at all what you picked
TT: That’s not what the trolley problem is.
TG: it is in sburb
TG: stop being mad at yourself for pulling the wrong lever
TG: there wasnt ever a right one
TG: be mad at the game that keeps tying us to the fucking tracks
call for help if you want — no one can hear you.
Dirk: *Finds out about Doc Scratch*
Dirk: Wait, shit. Not like that.
Dirk: How is he worse than Dave’s Bro. What the fuck.
Dirk: Next you’re going to tell me Lord English is one of my splinters too.
why is he so tall. illegal
that you’re alive at all has already fulfilled every wish he could have had for you.
but how do you face a gift like that? how could you ever deserve a sacrifice of that magnitude with no strings attached?
it’s simpler to bear this as a cross than as a kindness. it’s the only way you’ve ever learned to grieve.
[*You know, Frisk… I know you aren’t them, but when you called out to me…]
[*For a moment, I thought I heard…]
[*Well, I guess it doesn’t matter now.]
[*Anyway, um…]
[*…Take care of mom and dad for me, okay?]

ok so around a year ago @bogos-bint3d was like “soldier poet king is so frisk undertale to me” to which i of course responded “you’re so right and you should say it” [paraphrased] and then i drew like a verse and a half of it before running out of steam and didn’t think about it again for like 8 months
but you know, sometimes i like to go through my old comics and like. look at them and such, enjoy my own artistic genius, etcetera, and i stumbled on that comic and i went “damn soldier poet king is such a frisk song, though” so i decided to just come back and redo the whole thing from the start and also actually finish it this time
so uhhh bow before the fruit of my glorious labor ig. pretty happy with how this came out.
the more obnoxious i draw his face the closer i come to the pure ideal of him that exists in my head
