Does the beast choose person or visa versa? What kind of beasts can live withing? Like tigers, bears and wolfs or something more mythical as might be phoenixes and dragons? Also you mentioned Cadmus has been nurtured MC soul does this mean they are some kind of soulmates or is it just his thing?

The MC shouldn't have existed in the first place. They're a mistake that wasn't dealt with properly. And now the MC is paying the consequences for something they didn't do.
Anon legend has it that those who has seen Cadmus and Atticus true form didn't live to see the sun rise. Anon I don't want to die.... So for that question I can't answer because I want to live. But it is no secret that on the fifth of every month Atticus goes mad. If he's not locked inside of a cage or something that can contain him. He'll go on a rampage killing every and anything in sight.
Basically SSS+ rank is very rare. Not even Trysten/Trista's father has achieved that level of power.
Throughout history it is documented that. At a certain age 400-500. A phasron would have a "dream". In that "dream" they'll come upon a cage or a dark gloomy forest. (Basically the background for this "dream" is based on how calm ones sea of consciousness is.). One could be trapped in this dream for years not being able to wake from their slumber. Some would be driven mad by whatever lurks in that darkness.
Just like how ones ability is predestined on the day of being conceived. Each embryo is "tied" to a small ball of light, which only them can see at an early age. This "small ball of light" is slowly nurtured by the Phasron "soul". It takes five centuries for the "small ball of light" to reach adulthood. Upon reaching adulthood, a Phasron would be trapped inside of a "dreamscape". In order for one to wake up they'll have to "consume" the ball of light merging both bodies together.
Simple right?
But here's the catch. Even though a Phasron can see the "small ball of light" they don't know what kind of beast/monster this ball of light will transform into. Only after consuming the small ball of light will they see the monster's true form.
But the dreamscape doesn't end there.
After consuming "the small ball of light", a Phasron needs to "merge" as one with the monster or beast.
😏 easy isn't It? So for your question it is a yes and no answer.
As for Cadmus "nuturing" the MC body, hmm.... actually the reason for that is [REDACTED]. 😱😰.
