7. Sherlock, I think. I still love the show, but the fans can be super annoying and it kind of puts me off. I’ve also grown away from Doctor Who—I need to catch up on it, but I have no desire to, really.

Mad Men: Season Five was the best season (this only seems unpopular on LJ and tumblr).

B: Hmm. Possibly Thramsay? I had zero interest till I read some of the excellent fic out there (sorry I’m not sorry). Also Theon/Robb fits this (although a bit more stable!)

K: I did two!

ASOIAF: Oh geeze. There’s some really awesome people in this fandom, but so much time seems to be spent attacking other people who their ships or the characters they like, and it’s just awful. And boring, really. I don’t know if this is just tumblr or what, all the people I know in real life who are into it are excellent (of course, I don’t go around proclaiming that I write fic or anything). Mostly I just wonder how a series with such awesome dark characters and relationships attracts people that view everything in black and white. 

Mad Men: I don’t participate in the greater fandom (and there’s not one on a large scale). There’s a lot of stupidity in the LJ comms, mostly people complaining loudly when the show doesn’t talk down to them. Tumblr seems pretty cool, and provides pretty graphics. There’s character hate, but it’s not as excessive as it is in some fandoms, and I’ve never gotten shit for saying a sociopathic rapist is my second favorite character, so there’s that. 

Q: You know, I don’t think I’ve abandoned any ships. I don’t have a ton to start with, and I pretty much stick with them. I have to say, I kind of shipped Sandor and Sansa a long time ago, and my God did that not last. Also: Theon/Jeyne, before I realized that no, I just wanted that platonic (I read a romantic fic, and it just doesn't work).

I really don’t get the Victarion (or Aeron, honestly) hate, at least the degree that it comes from, from the fandom. Then again, I don’t get the fandom either. Vic seems to be the only Greyjoy nuncle w/a conscience!

I think that's what bothers me most, that people vilify Victarion for HAVING A CONSCIENCE. So apparently doing horrible things and not giving a fuck makes for an interesting character, but doing bad things and feeling guilty for them means you're the worst person ever. That makes a lot of sense. I'm still not over all those "Victarion is actually worse than Euron" posts. Usually coming from people who have no problem fangirling Jaime, Cersei, Daenerys etc.

I have a feeling that there will probably be a Greyjoy one in good time. Maybe the hate will heat up when theyre on the show. Yay, I cant wait for that.

I don't know if I'm looking forward to it or dreading it. What confuses me most about Greyjoy hate is that VICTARION gets most of it, when most of his family have probably done worse stuff than him (except Asha and Aeron maybe), and when he's the most sympathetic one at least of the older Greyjoys. Like, I get hating Balon, and I get hating Euron, and I get not finding Aeron particularly interesting, but Victarion is really the one who's easiest to like.

Yeah this is where I’m at. I’m just enjoying too hot for canon Boltons and I’ll flip out when we get AFFC plotlines, but for now, just having some fun mocking the show.

Yep. I've given up on show!Stannis and will just fume quietly about him, but come AFFC I will probably just be pissed off again because a tiny part of me can't help but hope for awesome nuncles.

Me too- it’s fun to guess what’ going on.

I think I've actually reached a blissful not-giving-a-fuck state (except I'll still rage at seeing the Stannis scenes, I guess, but that is inevitable). So in a way watching people freak out because they still expect anything but shit from this show gives me some sort of perverse pleasure because I was still like that, too, last season (and will be like that again when the time comes to ruin the Greyjoy nuncles). But, yeah, I have to get up in 5h, so I should probably sleep.
