A thought I had while at work: if y'all think that Tina wouldn't eat a popsicle slowly and sensually in front of your boys for the sole purpose of sexually frustrating and possibly causing a boner, you're wrong. Not only that, but she'd make eye contact, and when she knows they're turned on, that she's achieved her goal, she fucking bites the popsicle

Gavin immediately rolled his eyes and cross his arms over his chest. He knew her too well and it was far to easy to see she wasn’t quite telling the truth. By first trying to distract him, then with the lie.

“Come on. You’re my best friend you can tell me.” He insisted as though telling him would be harmless. But he knew full well that he would actually tease her relentlessly about who it was. “I know you like someone. Just tell me who it is?”

Why Tina thought she could lie to him was beyond her. Perhaps it was a moment of desperation, but she knew it wouldn’t work. Not only was Gavin her best friend, but he was also a damn good detective. He could see right through her lies.

She avoided eye contact, tongue pressed to the inside of her cheek. “Serious, Gav, drop it. You’re not gonna want to know.” She considered another lie, telling him it was someone else in the precinct, but she knew that wouldn’t go over any better than her initial lie.

It took more effort to pay attention when talking to Gavin now. Her eyes were on his lips to pick up what he was saying. Even as fast as he talked, she could keep up. At least until her attention shifted, eyes glancing at his eyes, at his hands as he made gestures (nonsense gestures that didn't actually translate to signs but gestures she was used to). Refocusing her attention on his words, she realized she'd missed something. A small bubble of panic rose in her chest.

Tina reached out and put her hand on his arm to stop him and bring his attention to her. "Gav," she felt her own voice, but like everything, couldn't hear it properly. "Sorry, I didn't catch that last part. Could you repeat that?"

Gavin just rolled his eyes as Tina grabbed his hand. Hee hated even being there in the goddamn first place. "Why did you even have to make me come? It's not that bad." He tried to prove even though he knew someway Tina would be able to explain how she was right.

She snorted in response. "Not that bad. Yeah, right. It's not like you got shot and lost blood." Now she rolled her eyes at him. "Gav, just... You got hurt. At least now you're not in pain anymore and you're not gonna die."

The chime of an incoming message was almost surprising. Unlocking her phone revealed a text from an unknown number. Frowning slightly, she opened it only to immediately slam her phone down on her desk with the screen down.

“For fuck’s sake. Reed! Did you give someone my number? I just got a fucking dick pic!”

She frowned slightly, realizing she wasn’t doing a great job hiding her emotions. “I don’t know. Is it too much if I ask you to just hold me?”
