Hi~~ I know so little about Taylor Swift outside of just her music, like so little of her public persona, but I live for your gaylor posts!! It’s been a real awakening for me. I was wondering what was with that necklace that earlier post mentioned? Is it something about this era particularly, or a “boy i sure love men and am straight!” necklace she wears to appease her following’s moms? Or nothing really?
ok so!!! taylor has a necklace (or multiple necklaces) that she’s worn this whole era - it’s a small silver chain with a pendant. now, she’s had a necklace that at least looks similar to this for a while, and there has often been speculation on what is actually engraved on the pendant (kaylors say a K, toes say J etc). Either way, she wrote several lines pertaining to this necklace in reputation, most notably “wear his initials on a chain round my neck” so her wearing this has long been a “see taylor’s not gay she’s madly in love with joe she has the necklace!!” even though a) what grown ass women writes a serious lyric like that and b) she’s been seen wearing something similar way before toe was in the picture. so BASICALLY people with their third eyes open see it as a very obvious sign that taylor wants people on the surface to buy the toe narrative while being kind of obvious that it’s all artificial (or at least manufactured to cover the fact that she DID wear one for karlie). it’s typical taylor chaotic drama with het swifties like???? eating the fact that she maybe wears a necklace with a J on it up even though that’s objectively like...... . a weird thing to do as an almost 30 year old. so when she takes it off it’s DRAMA!!!!!!!
1: What are your OC’s biggest insecurities and how would they react if someone pointed them out to them?
Fay: His would probably be his appearance and his inability to socialize with people for more than a certain amount of time. If pointed out he would probably flare up in anger, not really lash out though, but he’d make sure you know what was said to him pissed him off.
Xiu: mmmaybe his voice and tattoo skills. he doesnt really care about his voice being questioned but when it comes to his tattoo work he gets really frustrated and goes through a lot of self loathing because he’s been trying for years to get to where he wants to be and yet...he still isnt there, so it brings up a lot of other things he doesnt want to think about (not being good enough, all that stuff)
Kip: i cant say kip is insecure about much, but if i had to pick one maybe his interpersonal skills? he isnt confident in his abilty to communicate to people,and when he does it usually goes wrong because he’s pretty bad at expressing himself, and when someone points it out he gets very...angry. unlike fay he isnt too good at controlling how it comes out
Henry: HENRY’S is without a doubt his height (he comes in at a whopping 5′3″) and like many people who are tiny he gets annoyed and irritated very quickly when he’s teased about it (tho since sid is around he kind of gets used to it)
Sid: sid is insecure about his past and he doesnt think he’ll really ever be able to move on, as well as the different relationships he has with others. because no one really points it out to him until much later (and by fay of all people) no one asks about it but when it does happen he breaks down bc it’s so much to handle at once
3: Does your OC behave differently around different people, if so with whomand how?
HMMM for this one id say it applies to xiu, fay, and sid
Fay: he is much more active around people he doesnt know or people he’s interested in, versus when he’s with a close friend or in his circle of friends he’s very quiet and reserved
Xiu: with clients he’s mellow, polite, talkative, kind, mostly because it’s his job haha. with sid, henry, kip, and fay he’s always teasing them and saying things here and there, tells cheesy jokes, and pokes fun at certain things with them. so yeah, lots more playful
Sid: sid acts differently with each of the four; with henry he’s a chatterbox, very attentive, constantly asking and telling, playing around as well; xiu he’s a bit more reserved but he still makes sure to be pleasant, he doesnt overstep any boundaries tho and makes sure he wont say anything to offend him; kip...he is blunt with him at all times, pretty harsh, too, they argue a lot lmao; and last but not least with fay he’s extremely unguarded BUT he is still careful with what comes out of his mouth when they talk. he doesnt talk a lot, and listens more to what fay says, pays attention to those small details no one else seems to catch...
10: Does your OC guard their emotions by being tough? If not how would they?
omg yeah in some way they all do
Kip: he’s the one who puts on the tough guy act but the moment u make it known or prove to him u really do care he lets it all out
Fay: he stays quiet, and doesnt say anything even when questioned. he doesnt like to make it known when he’s having a rough time because he doesnt see it as important
Henry: i think he’s the most open with his emotions, and with anyone willing to listen to him he’ll vent
Sid: sid just pushes them down and tries his hardest to not let anything be known, even when he’s hurting so much on the inside he’ll keep it all in until he knows he’s alone, because he doesnt want to be hurt by others
Xiu: xiu acts like nothing is wrong, at all. it’s scary even, because he’ll put on an overly cheerful act or be a bit overbearing when it comes to his motherly instincts (it backfires because everyone can tell at that point something is wrong)
11: How would your OC react to hearing they’re adopted?
Kip: he’d laugh a bit and deny it because he’s had a pretty great upbringing so far and he wasnt about to let something like that hinder him
Sid: oh man this would kill him on the inside because then everything he’s been through would all make sense
Henry: small son would cry but then realize his current family has loved and supported him, so it wouldnt be too bad
Fay: fay wouldnt care
Xiu: he’d be really sad because those he left behind came to love him very much even though they wouldnt have been blood related
