it seems like E is pretty useful/important for getting the skills relevant to jobs. plus even if classes don't teach you anything STEM has better signalling for a lot of stuff

i just figured people who followed me would know that i wasn’t talking about signalling

also [civil, mechanical, electrical, etc.] engineering and programming are probably the closest thing to actual trades, so that makes sense. even then, in computer science i feel like i got most of the relevant material from about two courses and the rest were the sorts of things that would only help if i got into a really specific career path

I think there is a huge difference between straight men who fetishize girls loving girls and trans girls who are interested in it Some of those straight men think girls are doing it just because men think it’s “sexy” and some of them KNOW it’s not for them and they don’t like it because for once women aren’t doing anything for them

There is nothing wrong with trans girls watching yuri and enjoying it even when they still don’t know they are trans because it isn’t the same type of attraction!!

I'm confused about the popularity of the sound drivers one tbh. I can’t recall ever having this happen to me. The printer bit though…

I do remember a fair bit of finnicky fickling around one had to do to get sound to work in, well, not The Olden Days but at least Older Days. Like, 15-20 years ago, audio often came through dedicated sound cards, with the same problems dedicated video cards still cause sometimes, because of the proprietary drivers needed to really make them work. The more stuff like that was integrated into the processor/main board the easier driver creation in the open source environment has become. But still, video cards, sound cards and printing are like the holy trinity of I/O fuckups that follow us to this day.

At least printing is something that can still reliably cause issues on any platform. (I haven’t really kept up much with the dedicated video world, because as I often mention, the most graphics intensive game I play is Tetris.)

I experience far more direct government coercion than just taxes and traffic laws. There's so many things that are directly illegal for me to do, so I either can't do them or have to beware the government finding out. Primary example, quite a few drugs, for various purposes.

yeah its weird that he ceded so much ground there i guess it does make a certain amount of sense though in that when youre doing illegal drugs etc you basically just have to not be obvious about it and then you are still in a sense free to do it

I'm trans and realizing that wasn't an interesting/cute/gay story, and once I decided to be a girl I knew I was gay. But, a few months after I started transitioning, I met this really cute girl on tumblr and it was absolutely my Gay Moment because I started crushing on her so hard. She was my first kiss too, and we now live together (as housemates; we still have a thing going on but It's Complicated and we're poly and live with lots of our friends so this implies less than it sounds like)

your gay story doesn’t have to be cute or interesting, it’s still an important story because you realised you’re gay so that’s an amazing thing!!!
