Me: *still screaming about how the new rebels episode smashed the Bechdel test*
Because we have a female politician/figure & female badass pilot being chased by a female that rose into power all talking to each other. WE NEED MORE LIKE TIHS SHOWS AND MOVIES WITH INTERACTIONS LIKE THIS. Like I get Rogue One had Jyn, but would it have changed the story to make one of the other rogue one members female? Would it have changed the story if Jyn's Mother had been the engineer?
No. It wouldn't have.
Females make up 50% of the world's population but are continuously underrepresented in film and tv.
While this episode still had more men on screen the women, it balanced the primary roles and showed a world that is very much like our own, with women in places of power and shaping the world. THANK YOU STAR WARS REBELS
My Sister in Law gave me henna. I am trash omg.
