Who would have ever thought that 2020 would be this eventful? This has been the most difficult and most challenging year the world has faced in our lifetime. Despite that, we Filipinos have shown again our tremendous strength and resiliency. Some of us have weathered this storm with our hearts and bodies intact. However, not everyone has been as fortunate, as there are numerous small business, foundations, and charities that are now struggling to keep their heads above the water.
Despite all these challenges, there is still a lot to be thankful for. The summer lockdown brought out new skills and businesses from people who needed to survive the rough patches of life. We started seeing a lot of new food trends and specialties from small business owners who shared their newfound skills in the kitchen. New plantitas and plantitos sprung up from everywhere with their green thumbs. Then there are the frontliners and healthcare workers who continued to work and risk their lives to help others.
