“Cha-Ka kicks *$$! Phil Paley became national news in 1973 for becoming the youngest black belt in the US. A year later, I’d be spending every Saturday morning with him as he starred in the classic Sid & Marty Krofft show Land of the Lost. Truly one of THE nicest people on the planet to this day. This was a multi-page spread from the October 1975 magazine Fighting Stars, which was all about celebrities involved in martial arts. The photos of Phil- in and out of make-up as well as with his on-set tutor alongside co-star Kathy Coleman make this magazine a must-have for any Krofft/Land of the Lost enthusiast.”
