When William the Breton complains about Richard "Offending the law of nature" in the Philippide it is funny because according to Gillingham he is referring specifically to Rebellion against the Father but it's like. Philip.....you helped him...you specifically assisted him in doing the Offending....you gave him a hand....anyways this could work with the Other (anachronistic) interpretation too but. You see what I mean.
