This is my blog for posting about my 12th century RPF blorbos. Mostly I focus a lot on Richard the Lionheart x Philip Augustus yaoiz and various events roughly specifically between the 1170s to late 1190s in Western Europe, but I reblog or draw whatever I find interesting in the moment as well.

I like the fictional medias like The Lion in Winter (1968) (you’ve probably seen my fanart for it), Becket (1964), Robin and Marian (1976), The Devil’s Crown (1978) and other Plantagenet-adjacent medias both serious and silly (haven’t read Sharon Kay Penman, I have read Norah Lofts The Lute Player though). However while the influences are obvious I feel I’ve taken my interpretations and research of characters off into my own personal directions, and I have a lot of fun reading and learning new things about this specific era.

This blog is not meant to be solely educational and bc this is RPF I like taking liberties and joking around about yaoi things. However I do enjoy learning and information and love to post about articles or books I’ve acquired as well over the years.

(sorry there hasn't been much art lately because it was all going into The Comic...but this has been obsessing me since I saw it...Thinking about Philip DID receive a shipment of Wild Animals from Henry for a present at some point so I can see him having that mindset of "even if it's dangerous i want to own it, because I'm not like other men" approach. This also extends to People. Typical exotic pet owner wants his feet to be licked but doesn't think about the longterm consequences of this but lskfdjjs)
