When you look at her, you see this beautiful old soul who has gone through and lived life to the best of her abilities, and though she is in pain, she continues to smile; to keep fighting each and every day. She doesn’t let her age define how much time she has left in this world. And so, you can imagine her big brown eyes, to now a silvery grey. That beautiful long black hair she once always tied up is now, all white and grey. A smile that reaches from ear to ear, that peeks out every now and then, hidden underneath all the pain. With tears in her eyes that filled with sorrow and heartache, with hardly any meat on her bones, all she wanted was you. She asked for you countless of times, asking others to get in touch and to bring you to her as if you were the only memory she had and wanted. But yet, you feel helpless; helpless knowing that you’re a million miles away unable to take that pain away. She went from telling you an endless amount of stories to hardly giving you a response. Crazy, isn’t it? But surprisingly, you managed to make her day by checking in whether she gave you a response to the questions you asked her, she smiled knowing you remember her the same way she does with you. And the most important was that she was able to tell you, she loves you and gave you little gestures to your questions as a sign that she understood every word that you were describing to her. So, this beautiful old soul that others may look pass is one that I will forever cherish and love conditionally.
