Day 4 of 10. The Pogues - Rum, Sodomy, & the Lash I have my uncle (technically great uncle on my dads side) to thank for my love of The Pogues. Other than “Fairytale of New York” I had never heard of them until he lent me their live album & I fell in love with their music. It’s one of those albums that is always a pleasure to hear & feels like it’s telling a story from the opening bars of “The Sick Bed of Cuchulainn” through “A Pair of Brown Eyes” & “Dirty Old town” & ending with their cover of “And The Band Played Waltzing Matilda”. One of The Pogues finest albums & was only ruddy produced by Elvis Costello!! In no particular order 10 all time favourite albums that really made an impact and are still on your rotation list, even if it’s only now and then. #FavouriteAlbums #ThePogues #RumSodomyAndTheLash #FaveAlbums #DayFour #Day4 #ShaneMcGowan #SpiderStacy #JemFiner #AndrewRanken #JamesFearnley #CairORiordan #PhillipChevron #FolkPunk #CelticPunk #1985 #FolkRock (at Vancouver, British Columbia)
