Rouge Philadelphia

Today while walking around after running some errands, I passed by Rouge and decided to have a bite to eat there while I studied for an exam. Rouge is located in the perfect spot across the street from Rittenhouse Square, where you can people watch out of the huge windows from almost any seat. There is a bar in the center of the restaurant. The interior is warm and inviting with a staff to match. I walked in right after opening so there were only three other tables being serviced, but by the time I left it was packed. It’s a smaller restaurant so I recommend a reservation during high times.
The most popular item is the Rouge Burger. I even spoke a little with the couple sitting next to me because the man couldn’t stop boasting about how delicious it was, I will have to try it next time! I wanted something light and it was my first meal of the day, so I went with the egg white omelette and a cup of coffee. The coffee at Rouge is amazing, I decided against adding cream so I could really enjoy the flavor. Honestly, I would probably return just for a cup if that was appropriate. When I received my plate, it was huge! There was my omelette generously filled with salmon, spinach, tomatoes, and goat cheese. It also came with delicious pommes frites and a mixed green salad with spinach, carrots, and plum tomatoes. The atmosphere is energetic, you may even say noisy. I am going to return with friends! I’m also excited to dine when the weather gets warmer to sit outside.
I would definitely recommend eating here.
