From Lex in the City @ the Phillybass'd Intern Desk!
Lexi Drexler here writing to you live from the intern desk at Phillybass'd Entertainment. Although it is only my second week at Phillybass'd, I feel like I already have so much to share about my experiences here.
Just to get introductions out of the way, I'll share a quick bit about myself. I am a sophomore Strategic Communications major with a focus in Public Relations at Temple University. I love music and I hope to one day work in California doing something fabulous and making people famous. Some of my favorite things to do are reading, traveling, and hanging out with my AEΦ sorority sisters.
Interning at Phillybass'd Entertainment is like a dream come true for me. For the past year I have been searching for an internship that is relevant to the field I hope to one day work in and I have finally found a place that is the perfect fit. I already feel that I have learned so much more in two weeks at Phillybass'd than I have learned in all my classes since arriving at TU last fall. Anyone aspiring to a career in public relations should know that interning is one of the most valuable experiences you can have while at school. The real world experience that you gain will prove to be invaluable with your future career.
So I am just going to share a few of the highlights of my past two weeks so far. First of all, I knew I landed the perfect internship when I found out that I could not only wear jeans to work, but that I didn't ever have to come in before 1:00pm! I am not a fan of business casual or waking up early so this is clearly a match made in heaven. I have found a place where I can do the work that I love and still sleep in and express my personal style.
Another awesome part of the job is that we got to tour the super chic recording studio on the third floor of the building!
Other than that I have gotten to meet with clients and establish relationships, work on client biographies, and develop social media content for clients as well as the Phillybass'd company.
These past two weeks have been truly an amazing experience and I can't wait to keep all of you updated on the great things that I am sure will come!
