am i the only one that when raphael started talking about simon losing his memory about his mom just got pretty sad? like, he wasn't threating him or something, he was literally telling him the truth bc raphael has probably forgotten what his mother looked like by now and is trying to tell simon that is something inevitable, bc he probably tried to not forget his mother before
ok this literally like broke my heart, im not sure that raphael has forgotten what his mother looked like but he’s surly forgetting things about her that he used to love, maybe the tone of her voice, or cute things she used to do, he’s probably forgotten the smell of her perfume and everything like that, little things that didnt seem important to remember when he was alive, and he’s trying to warn simon against this, bc he knows how heartbreaking it is, and he and simon may not be on good terms right now, but he knows no one should go through that
