Non-chain food find friday - pho from Pho Mai
Since I've been sick for a week and a half, I've gotta give props to the chicken noodle soup of the East, pho. For the few who've never tried it (pronounced kind of like "fuh"), it's a Vietnamese beef broth noodle soup and it's extraordinary as the weather turns colder or if you happen to have a cold.
Broomfield is blessed with a Little Vietnam center where we have four little family-run Vietnamese restaurants all within the same strip mall. The newest is Pho Mai, and their pho was impressive - especially considering I got it to-go, which means that all the components were packed separately. I was hesitant of how this would turn out, but the pho was excellent. Can't wait for winter!
Summer so far...
Summer has been dope since the last day of Spring semester, literally. Kicked off summer with a full day of tennis and some basketball at Groesbeck Park. I normally don't play either of them, but it is summer, so why not? I can't exactly remember what my friends and I did on what days, but I know we did them. I do know that, we hiked Mission Peak, that was pretty fun. We got up there in about and hour and seventeen minutes. I'm not sure if that's considered fast, but there wasn't a rush. It's better to appreciate for what it's worth, especially if it's your first time. There was Keneth's birthday party, that night was insane. Kegstands all night!! haha. Played ball with the homies. Still undefeated in Around the World hahah. And I've got 1-0 record in 1 on 1 with Josh. You need to be good ass shape to play basketball, lesson learned the hard way. That one night at Daniel's playing bp and shotgunning beer, then heading to Pho Mai after. HELLA BOMB. So far I've spent my days doing some kind of activity, especially that P90X haha. Basically, I've just been chillen with the right people, and I think thats what it comes down to. You can do all types of shit, but having the time to do those things with the right people just makes it hella better. I wish I could remember more of what we did, but shits just been too crazy, and I hope it continues to be that way.
P.S.
Killed this semester with straight B's!! hahah
