/i'm not actually here. But i've been working in this fic for, like, ever, and i just want to say that i fucking love writing dialogue. And sassy angel siblings vs. Dean Winchester dialogue is gr9. Here's an excerpt of Dean and Balthazar from THE FIC OF DOOM because I might not ever be done it but I had to share this bit.

They heard a clatter at the door and both turned to see Balthazar framed there. He raised an eyebrow at them and grinned as if he’d just caught them in the throes of passion.

“Here you are, brother dear. And here’s your little boy toy, what a surprise,” he smirked. Dean’s face flushed and he shifted, but Castiel took the comment calmly.

“Hello, Balthazar. You were looking for me?” Castiel said. Balthazar shook his head, stepping into the kitchen and reaching for the coffee.

“Actually I was looking for Dean. I had a revelation.” He said. Dean snorted.

“What’s that, Balth, you figure out you can’t actually bang your way through California?” Dean quipped. Balthazar raised his eyebrow again and shook his head sadly.

“Ah. Hostility. That won’t get you what I know, Dean.” He said. “Play nice. Besides, I’m not trying to bang my way through the whole state. I’m not a young man anymore. Southern California will do for me.”

“I don’t know, people have higher standards here.” Dean grinned.

“That can’t be true. You get laid, don’t you?”

“If you two are done comparing your sexual prowess,” Castiel deadpanned, “what is your revelation?”
