It was hot. So and so hot!
Link had come unprepared for his trek up Death Mountain, sweat dripping from his brow as though it were doing it’s best impression of the Zora’s river. Drenched, he was. However, he paid little mind to his physical, liquifying state, and instead focused on arriving to his destination.
The great fairy fountain was just up ahead, he could make it.
Pants were now escaping his lips, a frown tugging them downwards. Perhaps he should have turned back a while ago and returned equipped with the Goron’s tunic. Ah, but it was too late for that! He had to keep pressing onwards.
The heat was becoming unbearable now, steam rising from rocks as the air high above contrasted greatly with that of the grueling temperatures below. The hero was starting to struggle to breathe. Now he just felt like an idiot, pushing himself forward like a fool rather than being wiser.
His legs gave out from beneath him, a curse slipping as he went down. Link struggled to stand once more, but he was just so hot, his lungs felt like they were on fire.
But he could see the entrance! He couldn’t give up now!
And yet his eyes saw nothing but blackness now, his vision fading as his body contradicted his own will to remain awake.
