SOUTH HAVEN, MICHIGAN - Old-fashioned vinyl records are making a big comeback, outselling music CDs in recent years. This summer, Greg Scholl opened Phoenix Records & Boutique in South Haven. It's one of Southwest Michigan's only record stores, along with Rumor Has It in Niles. Scholl stocks new and used vinyl, and accessories such as record players and protective record sleeves. Staff Writer Andrew Lersten recently talked to him about why he's so passionate about vinyl records and why vinyl has proven to have such longevity and appeal as an audio format.
