“Oh, hi.”
Nancy’s heart sinks in her chest as she recognizes the man in front of her from the personnel files Obadiah Stane had given her when she’d taken this case at his request. He’s Harold “Happy” Hogan. Head of Stark’s security, and the billionaire’s personal bodyguard.
He’s not Ryan Kilpatrick, with the loads conjecture stacking up against her, but... Hogan is close with Mr. Stark. Closer than Kilpatrick has ever been, or could ever hope to be, surely. Could there be motive there? Could he have fostered some ill-will toward the man he worked for?
From what Nancy has concluded about Tony--through Stane, media coverage, and through talking with a few of the other employees here at Stark Industries--he seems to be someone prone to brashness; impulsivity; machismo. All of these things would certainly be taxing on his chief security officer.
Harold Hogan has just been added to her pool of potential suspects. Though Ryan, of course, still holds the top spot.
“I was just looking for the restroom. But I think I got myself turned around.” She keeps her tone chipper and upbeat, but she bounces a little on the balls of her feet to make her blunder look urgent. Sympathetic, even, with any luck. “Could you help me find it?”
