Each Day; One Deep Breath at a Time

Every morning when I wake up, I lay in my bed, and put my hands behind my head. And I breathe deep, allowing my torso to rise slowly and fall. I lay in my bed, with my hands behind my head and say, “Thanks God…for letting me live another day.” Remembering that not everyone gets to wake up everyday. Do I believe that God somehow favors me over somebody else? No. But all I know is that, for some reason, I got to wake up today, and it wasn’t by my own doing. And I’m grateful for that.
