How to add extra buttons to your IPhone

Do you miss those days when your phone had lots and lots of buttons and kinda wish you could have a few more on your smartphone today? Well, you can now add some to your device with this tiny thing called Air-Button. It's a small NFC enabled set of buttons that sticks to the back of your phone and can be easily pressed to complete various actions.And the company has claimed that it also works with non-metallic iphone cases so I'm gonna try and do just that. The packaging seems pretty impressive and the buttons are protected really well inside this plastic casing. When I took it out, the first thing I noticed was how thin and light it is. I was expecting it to be a lot bigger in size.Now that we know how it looks, how do you actually use it? The first thing you gotta do is to find the NFC region of your phone. You can find where it is by searching on the internet or you could just try and find it by pressing and moving the buttons to different areas of the phone.After you find it, while not necessary, you way want to mark the area with a marker. Then,just peel of the sticker from the button and place it in the appropriate area. take your time and place it properly as the glue is really very strong. It wont move a bit after you stick it.

Once again, As I said before, it's really thin and won't make much of a difference to the overall feel of the phone.After you stick it properly, just download the app to provide custom funtions to the buttons. The setup process is really easy. Just press the button you want to configure,and it'll give you the option to choose the actions you want it to simulate. There aretons of options to choose from, like functions including toggles for flashlight, wifi, bluetooth,sound profile. You also have the option to choose app shortcuts like camera, settings and photos.To test it out, I will be applying the torch toggle on one of the buttons.Now, I don't know whether it was the phone case or the inaccurate placing of my buttons,but it only worked around 6 times out of 10 attempts and sometimes worked only when I press and hold for a long time. That,.. was really annoying.But the buttons are reusable so you can take it out anytime and place it in a proper area.And oh, although I said that they're really thin, it still rocks when you try to use it flat on a table.I set the second button as a shortcut to the camera app and it was simply disappointing.It took too long for the camera to open. like, it literally *lidderally?* took around 5-10seconds. However, it is just be a software issue and can be fixed with future updates.Besides these simple problems, The biggest issue I have with Air-Button and infact with any NFC device is that I can't use them when the screen is locked. In this case, I can't access the flashlight or the camera when the phone is locked which kinda makes it only half as useful.In conclusion, it's a great product and will definitely makes things a lot easier but just make sure you place this thing properly on your phone.
