The Hidden Credit Check Behind Your Mobile Plan Explained
It never even occurs to most of us that our mobile phone company is checking out our credit without us even knowing while deciding to approve or not to approve certain plans or upgrades. The following video provides insight into how mobile companies such as Verizon, AT&T, and T-Mobile analyze our credit profile.
“Plans start at $5/month for 500 MB of data and no minutes (or 100 minutes and no data), the most expensive plan caps out at just $39/month for unlimited data and minutes, or you can find any combination in the middle that works better for you. Alternatively, if you don't feel like fine-turning everything yourself, Tello has a few pre-made plans you can choose from as well.” - @androidcentral @tellomobile #review #wireless #phoneplan #savings https://www.instagram.com/p/CHhhcu6HwNd/?igshid=1gil9jdj94unx

Canceling AT&T
I won! AT&T tried to pull a fast one and make me pay a early termination fee, but I told them. AT&T canceled and UNICOM started.
Thank you for your patience! Your AT&T Representative will be with you shortly.
Welcome! You are now chatting with 'Robert Winston'
Robert Winston: Robert, I can definitely help you on this..
Me: Thank you.
Robert Winston: But in order to cancel the service, you should pay the Early termination fee with the amount of $155.
Robert Winston: You can transfer then account on your friends and families on the US.
Me: I didn't think I had any sort of plan... I don't think I renewed anything for a couple years now.
Me: I should just be able to cancel for free correct?
Robert Winston: It still on contract.
Robert Winston: It shows here that your line is on a contract until 09/14/2014 and if cancelled there will be an early termination fee of $155.00.
Robert Winston: Do you have any friends or relatives that can take over the line so you won't have to pay for the early termination fee?
Me: No, I don't. They all have phones already. Can you tell me why the contract is not up? I haven't renewed anything for a LONG time as far as I can remember. The last iPhone I bought I believe I bought it for the full price without renewing anything.
Robert Winston: your contract started on 09/14/2012.
Robert Winston: It is a 2 year contract.
Robert Winston: It is not on the phone, it is the contract on AT&T.
Me: So did it automatically renew for some reason?
Me: I've had ATT longer than 9/14/2012 and once the contract is up it is "out of contract" and doesn't renew anything correct?
Robert Winston: The contract is on the services of AT&T.
Robert Winston: You are using NAtion450 plan.
Me: And I just thought when you sign up for the nation 450 plan, it's for two years. Then when the two years are up you can still use the nation 450 plan until you want to terminate the plan (without renewing anything)
Me: Is that not the case?
Robert Winston: Yes it is 2 years and it will ended on 09/14/2014.
Me: Okay, but I was wondering what in 2012 caused this plan to start because I thought I was already on that plan before 2012.
Robert Winston: It is started 09/14/2014.
Robert Winston: I mean 2012.
Robert Winston: :)
Me: Hah, yes, I understand that. I'm saying what was going on before that? I had ATT before 9/14/2012 right.
Robert Winston: Yes Robert :)
Me: And what was the plan I was on PRE-9/14/2012
Robert Winston: Still Nation 450. But you have contract signed for another 2 year on 9/04/2012.
Me: And why would I have resigned a contract when I could just continue without signing?
Me: That's what I'm not understanding.
Me: Why would I lock myself into paying ATT for 2 more years for no reason or benefit on my end?
Robert Winston: I see. I already cancelled it. No more worries.
Robert Winston: What else can I help you with?
Me: Thank you. That is all.
Robert Winston: you are welcome.
Robert Winston: Good bye and take care there.
Robert Winston: :)
