Keeping those family photographs or portraits on show is a highly personal choice- but one that can be a very effective and attractive part of the home. It’s a way of reflecting the past into your home not to mention being a wonderful topic of conversation.
October 1st is upon us, which means that Halloween is fast approaching. Here are some Halloween photography tips for all you fans of this spooky time of year!
Here is a link to an interesting article, given to me by Miranda Lichtenstein, that I feel adds validity to "Straight" Photography in the 21st Century. An argument, I've felt a need to defend at times - as a photographer, explaining to someone, that something happens, between the time my eye looks through a lens, and releases the shutter to capture a moment - that there is an actual creative process. A process that is just as important as the sculpture I make, and more experimental photography I work with. "Straight" photography is alive and kicking, because in that instant, when I witness life, and recognize it as something worth capturing - passing of time is paused and reframed to be appreciated further.
