Amazon Photos or Google Photos?

For a last-ditch cloud backup. I have a local backup of course, but I don't want to be without a cloud backup too. I'll be switching to Lightroom from Apple's terrible Photos app (I gave it a good long chance, but even now with extensions, it's just too bad. I can't do it anymore) and iCloud doesn't play nice (or at all) with Lightroom. Lightroom syncs with Lightroom Mobile now, but it's not a backup. They're smart previews which are not full-res. So I'll need somewhere else to upload everything, even if they're just full-res jpegs. I'm not gonna pay for Dropbox Pro or Backblaze or anything like that. I'm already subscribed to Amazon Prime and with all the other benefits I feel like that's worth the money. Though I don't love the idea of being tied to it, in case I want to unsubscribe someday. So maybe Google Photos then. Idk. Recommendations? What do y'all use?

หากท่านใดที่ใช้ Dropbox บนมือถืออยู่คงจะรู้จัก "บริการอัพโหลดรูปอัตโนมัติ (Camera Upload)" ที่รูปถ่ายจะถูกอัพโหลดเข้าไปเก็บใน Dropbox ทันทีหลังจากเราถ่ายรูป ซึ่งถือเป็นความสะดวกในการใช้ประโยชน์จากบริการกลุ่มเมฆที่เราสามารถนำรูปไปใช้ต่อจากที่ไหนก็ได้ไม่ใช่แค่ที่มือถือของเราเท่านั้น และ Facebook ก็ตัดสินใจเข้ามามีส่วนร่วมในตลาดนี้เช่นกัน

หากท่านผู้อ่านเข้า Facebook app ในช่วงนี้คงจะเห็น feature นี้โผล่ขึ้นมาในหน้า News feed แล้ว ถ้าเราตัดสินใจที่จะเข้าใช้บริการนี้ รูปถ่ายทั้งหมดในมือถือของเราก็ถูกอัพโหลดเข้า Facebook โดยอัตโนมัติ แต่ไม่ต้องห่วงว่ารูปจะถูกแชร์ออกไปโดยไม่ได้รับอนุญาตเพราะทุกรูปจะถูกตั้งความเป็นส่วนตัวให้เป็น "Private" ที่เราจะเห็นเพียงคนเดียว จากนั้นเราค่อยไปเลือกรูปที่ต้องการแชร์ได้ทีหลังนั่นเอง

一部のFacebook for iOSユーザーの間で、Facebook上の非公開アルバムに写真が自動的にアップロードされる機能”Photo syncing”をテストしているとのこと。 以前、Androidアプリで使用可能だった機能が新たにiOS上でテストされてるらしい。 これで、ユーザーは携帯を紛失したときのためのバックアップをしておくことが可能だし、Facebookに写真を投稿するのがスムーズになる。 GoogleがGoogle+アプリで”インスタントアップロード”という名前で提供している機能のFacebook版か。以前Android版だけだったのは、iOSではAppleが”フォトストリーム”を提供してたかららしい。 同様の機能としてはDropboxも提供している。 バックアップストレージ容量はGoogle+が無制限でAppleが1,000枚まで、Facebookは2GBまで。(Dropboxは契約内容によるが無料ユーザーなら2.5GB) モバイル回線上だとバックアップするときに自動的に画像が圧縮されてしまうので、そのままの大きい画像でバックアップしたいのなら「Wi-Fi接続時のみバックアップ」の設定にしておけばいいんかね。 まぁまずは一般ユーザーにも公開されるのを待つのみだね。
