So... I debated whether or not I should post this picture... with myself of course... myself decided to post because it felt it spoke to him in some form or fashion, to which I’m not prepared to go into it here... for now. As I thought about it, and debated it, I came to the realization that photography is just that and much more... appreciating of that photograph that speaks to you, and not what you think others will think about it. Patience might be a virtue, but we're impatient to see your long exposure photos

Good things come to those who wait, especially those armed with a camera, tripod, and a slow shutter speed. We here at Photocritic are looking for the very best in long exposure photography and if one of your images catches our eye, you might win a £40 gift card for the Triggertrap shop, purveyors of fine remote camera triggering devices.

You have until 01:59 BST on Sunday 26 October to submit a maximum of five long exposure images to the Patience is a virtue Flickr pool. After that, it's in the hands of the judges: Daniela from Photocritic, Haje from Photocritic and Triggertrap, and Tom from Triggertrap.

All of the rules and regulations–not that there are many–can be found on the Flickr pool page, where you also submit your photos, or on the competition announcement on Photocritic.

Creating strong narratives in video:

Watching somebody go to the store to get milk has never been more exciting. Funny little video with some good storytelling tips - and the lesson that the camera matters a lot less than the photographer.
