For the last few months I have been trying out a new hobby, developing cyanotype prints from pictures I took with my camera. Cyanotype is an old way of producing photographic prints using a mixture of light sensitive chemicals and some good ol’ sunlight. The prints produced are cyan-blue in colour hence the name.
And one day I thought “What if I try doing this with some of my thousands of FFXIV screenshots?”. I started experimenting with the idea and through many trial and errors finally succeed in making a couple of prints that I’m happy with.
Pictures above are some of the earliest successful prints produced with this method. The original screenshots are from the FFXIV character selection screen.
I also did some with the more dynamic screenshots from the game which I will post in the future. What do you guys think? : )
