In 1986, Herb Ritts establishes a studio in Hollywood. Formerly Gene Kelly's dance studio, the space is large and full of natural light. Ritts builds a swiveling wall on the flat roof so it can be pivoted toward or away from the sunlight. Many of his iconic photos are created on this rooftop. Ph.- Tatjana Patitz, 1988
