What I see
Subjectivism is mandatory. When I look, I don’t see the same as you – I can’t. I’m sure my brain processes the inputs in different ways, sparks different neuronal connections. But I’m also aware of the filters in the way of what I see. My vision occupies a wide space. I’d say it probably covers a shape a bit like a cucumber on its side. I suspect that’s wider than most people’s because my eyes…

Sparks of light in vision may indicate various eye related problems or medical conditions that require medical attention.
If you see sparks of light in vision, it is a type of vision disturbance or photopsia. Typically, this can happen in either or both eyes, in different colors, shapes, frequencies, and durations. There can be a number of reasons for this symptom to appear.
What are floaters? People often use the term floater when they are talking about little blurry specs that seem to drift into their vision. Often times these floaters can appear like whimsical cobwebs, squiggly lines, or floating bugs. These floaters are actually in the inside of your eye in the vitreous or the jelly middle. Ommetaphobia
Does anyone else suffer from ommetaphobia (generally, eye phobia, in my case specifically phobia/anxiety relating to eye trauma/contact) and if so, do you know of any ways around it, be it techniques or medication? I've been having some visual disturbances in my right eye for about a week now, and I'm long overdue for a check up with the optician. The symptoms so far sound a bit like photopsia or "posteria vitrious detatchment" but I'm hesitant to read too much into it all because then I'll think I have a brain tumour and I can do without that idea floating in my head over the Christmas week. I've been having weird webbed-like patterns visible in my right eye usually in low light conditions/night-time, and I've noticed today that there is a slight discolouration or tint to my right eye compared to my left as well. I'm not sure how long that may have been a factor though. No pain or anything, just a bit disconcerting and distracting, especially when you can see bright web shapes when you close your eyes to go to sleep. Blood pressure is normal.
