Watching Mad Max for the first time since im sick and ive never seen it.

The first ten minutes are two cops? Having the worst time in the goofiest car chase ever. Like i dont even think the guys they are chasing have done anything crazy, yet the cop bois keep running into shit.

My dad grew up on a farm and i just witnessed this exchange between him and my brother

Brother: …have you ever seen a cow struck by lightning

Dad: no

Brother: oh

Dad: i have seen a goat get struck by lightning though

Brother: what?!

Mom: what did you do??

Dad: i cheered

All of us: …

Dad, muttering: i hated those freaking goats

Brother: …did it die?

Dad: oh no it was fine. Stupid fuckin goat

My fathers unrelenting hatred for the goats he grew up with will never stop being funny.

You ever meet someone who's super passionate about something and realize "oh. you're bad at this." And in some ways its inspiring because they are clearly following their passion, but in other ways its frustrating. Because they would have so much more fun and be doing so much better if they took the time to intentionally improve their skill. Like attend free classes and look things up and put in the work. But instead they expect the passion to carry them the entire way and when they struggle they just blame the world? Like they couldn't be doing anything to improve or find a new angle?

I hesitate to post this on the poor reading comprehension site but its been in my head for too long so whatever. Also I'm not vague posting about anyone online this is a collection of people in my personal life who don't seem to understand that working hard doesn't just mean working more.

Just finished reading the first email of Dracula daily. I now have the strong urge to cook with paprika. Is this normal? Please advise.

Cutting through the hospital on my way to lunch I saw a girl with a black lacy dress, black floral lace tights, black converse, black fuzzy cat ears, and a vase with a beautiful live flower arrangement.

Girl whoever you are I want to be mutuals.

For my job I have to attend weekly in person meetings with the entire department. They are mandatory and take attendance by a paper sign in sheet.

Well I was running about 20 minutes late today (it’s only an hour so that’s LATE) and finally got in the elevator to head to the meeting. Sharing the elevator was an administrator I’m in decent terms with. She said she was heading over to pick up the meeting sign in sheet and I remarked with a sheepish grin that I was really late.

She smirked and said “you better walk fast once we get out of the elevator then”

The doors opened and I stage whispered “you never saw me!”

As I was walking away I heard “I saw nothing. Oh look I’m going to take the long way to the meeting room”

I got to the meeting 2 minutes ahead of her and was signed in and sitting when she arrived. Other humans are alright sometimes.
