Want to humanise your drum patterns or melodies? Just record yourself tapping a beat on the table or humming/whistling the melody! Bring the clip into your daw (in my case #ableton) and convert it to midi and there you have it!

#FTOS008 Update
Just finished episode eight of my weekly radio show and instead of uploading it to the internet, I've decided to put it in my recycle bin. Here's why.
Every week I wander the internet searching for great pieces of music that will emotionally engage my listeners. I want to take them on a journey for that window of time and forget about the world. However, each week I notice the tracks becoming a little louder and a little less dynamic. Sure, they're going to be hits on the dance floor, but it's as though music these days caters only to the dance floor.
My mix this week was loud and dance floor friendly. But it took me nowhere. It was just artists showcasing how loud they can get their tracks. You might ask yourself why I made it in the first place if this is the case. I'm not going to lie, I love loud and proud tracks. There's nothing wrong with them at all. But, it was upon completing the mix that I realised I had been conditioned into thinking these tracks were special because they are loud. Sure, loudness gives music a sense of power, but you won't be moved.
The louder the track, the quieter the emotion.
That said, this week's mix is silence-- for now! As I build another playlist for you guys to enjoy and escape reality with!
Have a lovely week and sorry!
