Wanted to do Phride Month so here we go!

Week 1: Celebrate Your Identity

im still not sure on a lot of things, but the only thing i am sure of at this point is being trans. but, dan being so open in BIG about not really having a sure label on his identity has helped me come into that for myself. i used to feel so pressured to have a label for myself such as pansexual, bisexual, gay. and i still struggle with it a lot. but because of dan, ive been able to tell myself “its okay if i dont have everything figured out” and be okay with that. i can live my life being a formless blob, and just like who i like without it being labelled. overall, dan (and phil!) have both been able to help me accept myself and be more open about who i am as a person. :)

Week 1: Celebrate Your Identity

My journey with my gender identity has been like trying to follow a black cat into a tunnel; i've still not really found it.

Having Dan be open about his idea of labels regarding gender has helped me be SO much more comfortable with not knowing which label i fit into or where i stand as someone born with a uterus. i've always felt slightly uncomfortable in the body that i have. hearing that it's okay to exist as a "formless blob" in this world has made me more comfortable and happier in myself! i'm okay with the pronouns i get in person and i'd be okay with different ones too. Dan and Phil being so unapologetically themselves has made me confident and proud to be myself, whoever that may be.

My sexuality identity is similar: though i feel i fall under the category of pansexual, i still feel a little iffy about confining myself to that label, because what if i'm not? i'm still on that journey and that's okay! Dan, Phil, and this community have made me feel so comfortable just existing in this space <3 i feel welcome, and i'm so thankful for that every day.

happy phride month!!

in honor of the #phride2024 started by @energeticwarrior i wanted to have a little yap session about my identity and dnp 🧡

i rarely post selfies anymore but this is me! hi!

i’m a lesbian, gender tbd but i go by she/her pronouns (they/them is also fine tbh)

the journey of me getting to lesbian is long and winding so i’m not gonna share it all, but i want to talk about when i realized i like girls. it was the summer of 2016 and i was somewhat new to the phandom and interacting with people on tumblr. i wouldn’t say i lived a sheltered life but discussions about sexuality was never really a thing that my family or friends talked about. i knew queer people existed, i just hadn’t interacted with anyone who was open about it. until the phandom. suddenly my days were filled with people talking about their partners and crushes and being proud of their identities! i never struggled coming to terms with the fact that im attracted to women, and i have the phandom almost entirely to thank for that. discovering that about myself while in a community that was (and still is) filled with openly queer people saved me from a lot of heartache and struggle. i will forever be grateful for that!

this is too long already but dan and phil accidentally creating an overwhelmingly queer community while in the closet is something that im always thinking about. we really do flock together. and i genuinely think that’s so beautiful.

remember that you all are so valid and deserve to live an authentic and happy life. dont let anyone tell you who you can or cannot be. no matter what you deserve to celebrate pride. sending you all a massive gay vibe 🏳️‍🌈〰️
