Phthisis – God of rot and decay
Yeah I made another Hades oc no I won't stop. Phthisis is one of the sons of Ades and Seph, and is the chthonic deity of everything rotting! He returns dead things to the earth so his father can grow it all over again, completing the cycle of life in nature. He's a pretty awkward guy and doesn't socialize well, since he can't talk well and just communicates in groans, much like Charon. He's also. Very tall and has to look down on almost everyone.

On Dec 8 1919 only one member of the Canadian military died:
Private Harold John Culver, 139054, Canadian Infantry (Central Ontario Regiment), 75th Bn.
In 1916 he was gassed fighting on the Somme. Sailed from Liverpool for Canada per the SS Grampian on Feb 20 1917, suffering from Phthisis (pulmonary tuberculosis or a similar progressive systemic disease)
At 28 years old on Dec 8 1919 he died at his home: 509 Salem Ave, Toronto, of Pulmonary tuberculosis, probably due to war-related lung damage.
Son of Morriss and Elizabeth Ann Culver; husband of Mrs. R. J. Ruth (formerly Culver), of Silverthorne, Toronto, Ontario.
Sleepytime Gorilla Museum - Phthisis
(2/2) In the 1920's, the cemetary was to be detroyed, and some people from Transylvania University (possibly members of a secret society loyal to his memory) went to exhume his body, to honor their esteemed alumnus and prevent his angry spirit from causing further trouble. They got someone's remains, kind of hard to tell whose, and interred them in a crypt under these stairs, with an inscription that says "Honor to whom honor is overdue". . . . . In 1969 the building was gutted by fire, and it is said that only the crypt was unscathed. This may have -something- to do with the fact that the crypt had no flammable parts, only brick and stone, whereas the interior structure of the main building was wooden. But the prevailing opinion was that Rafinesque's curse was to blame. The building was rebuilt with modern materials and up-to-code wiring, and every halloween two students are chosen to spend the night in the crypt. Since then it hasn't burned down again, and the spirit of Rafinesque is reckoned to be appeased, for now. . . . #lexingtonkentucky #lexingtonky #pumpkinmania #herbalmedicine #medicalbotany #sihr #curse #legend #haunted #tuberculosis #phthisis #büyü
