Just hosted a fact-checking workshop initiated by us, the #FactsFirstPH campaigns track under MovePH, the civic engagement arm of Rappler.
This workshop taught the participants to make fact-checking a desirable habit & publish effectively on social media.
'Twas fun learning from people from different parts of the country on how they make efforts to dispel myths and amplify the facts in their own ways.
Realization: We all have the power to evaluate the media and information ecosystem & enact movements to provide solutions against disinformation both online and offline. It takes tireless persuasion, yes, but if we continue to engage, we can change the system and build communities of action.
