Is petting cats (naked or otherwise) a sensory issue for you? I ask bc I personally love cat petting, and tend to find dog petting less pleasant (no disrespect, just preference, they tend to have more Residue and smell less pleasant to me) but also have no idea how I'd feel abt the... skinfeel of a hairless cat (apologies if this has been addressed on yr blog before also LOL).
My appreciation for animals is largely at a distance. I just don't feel the need to touch them. It's just a kind of ick regardless of the animal. Nothing about the texture, just that animals are inherently gross and there are only so many times my hands can take being washed.
Pichael is the only one who I fairly consistently pet and that's only because at this point I have a pretty strong emotional bond + I keep her clean. I still have to stop and make the conscious choice to pet her.
