When your spend your life touching people, social distancing can be a real challenge. . I’ve had a lot of time to reflect this past week. Lots of emotional, sometimes uncomfortable conversations. Lots of tears, lots of wine before 5pm (who even made that rule anyway), but at the same time, I’m feeling so inspired. . This is such a tough, scary time for everyone, but it’s also created an incredible opportunity for us to reach out and support one another, and practice a little patience and understanding. . The amount of selfless offers I’ve seen from vendors for brides who are experiencing a lot of stress and grief during what should be the happiest time of their lives. The innovative ideas from small businesses trying to sustain themselves in new ways. The support and sympathy of larger companies to their clients and community. The influx of tutorials, videos and images of people making the best of their confinement and continuing to create through the confusion. . It’s okay to be in your feelings. It’s okay to be sad. It’s okay to grieve whatever losses you’re experiencing, even if they’re ‘smaller’ than someone else’s. We’re all taking big physical, emotional, financial hits right now, but one major consolation we have is that none of us are alone, and we’ll get through it together. . . .
