Oh yeah! That SW zine archive used to live at Skywalker Ranch before it just got too big for Lucas to want to deal with. I think it changed hands at least once before ending up at the University, but most of their SW zine collection was collected by Lucas himself, which is pretty cool.

Yeah! I know we talked about that once and it’s still probably my favorite fact about the whole thing. The knowledge that George Lucas himself used to be involved in collecting Star Wars fanzines is the funniest possible reason for there to be a huge collection of them in the archives

Somehow I completely forgot to post this very exciting thing from over a month ago- my first ever commission! Drawn for the wonderful @physicsandfandoms, this is Mara Jade from the Star Wars EU, who I’m really rather fond of and had a lot of fun drawing.

honestly, bail is fantastic, and I’d love to see what anyone could do with him. it wouldn’t be all that limited - he’s a senator during the whole prequels run, isn’t he? I think he has some appearances in the clone wars tv show, I think you could find some good traction with him if you wanted to develop him. 

my friend liesl @tachiisms (who you no doubt have seen around because obviously) actually writes breha on occasion, so you’d have that going for you too, and liesl would absolutely be up for talking or plotting with you if you want! her breha is exclusively legends based. and I’m sure all the leias out there would love their father. :)

no pressure at all obviously, take your time and pick whoever you want! but I had to jump on this since I know liesl’s breha would love her husband. ;)

Yes. There’re usually a lot of these books in the bookstores or even on Amazon or eBay. Unfortunately, when I moved to my new place, I left all my EU books with my brother at my old place, since my place is so tiny and I don’t even have a proper place to put books or anything else *sighs* and that’s why I decided to download the books. Also, it’s very useful to have the ebook edition to make edits and to read these on the tablet, but I still miss my old paper editions :(

Same. I'm so close to bailing entirely on new canon.

to be fair, i hate a lot of the decisions legends made, too, but at least it’s easier to ignore just by virtue of there being so much

What would your Revan think of Kylo stealing their look? (This question brought to you by one of my friends who has a Revan costume always being called Kylo lol)

(NGL if I was dressed as Revan and someone called me Kylo I’d be so mad..I love Kylo but I’d still be mad.)

Yeah she’d be pissed, lmao. My Revan doesn’t really care much for lightside vs darkside, but she wouldn’t like Kylo for the fact that he’s so damn destructive, and for nothing but power. Not to mention what he’s done to his family, despite them being loving and supportive. 

She’d be pretty offended to see him running around like that, especially since he isn’t doing it for the reasons she did. Not that all her reasons were good, but at least she wasn’t a Vader wannabe.
