7. What fic are you the proudest of?
honestly a crazy take given i have fics that are so much more popular but hana without a doubt. my stupid rarepair fic that nobody gafs about. genuinely to this day the most romantic thing i've ever written is isagiri holding hands and watching the fireworks together. i think it's the perfect length and my writing was at the level at that point where it was Good. that fic is my baby. i love hana
21. What is something that no one has caught about one of your fics?
this is so vague and so general. but in every single fic where barou or aryu makes a cameo there's a baryu sneak and NOBODY has picked up on it. one day someone will join my baryu agenda
27. What is a question that you never get asked about your fics that you really want to answer?
if i had to pick probably the way i write characters in general. like okay that makes no sense sorry but a lot of the time people are like wow you get rinsagi so well. for example. and i think what i want to explain a lot of the time is that in order to write good ship fic you have to understand the two characters as separate things first
like. i was talking to oomf earlier after she read phytotelma and she says to me you get them so well. other fics seem to get them on the surface but you Really get them. and i'm like to her yeah that's because whenever i write a fic i treat it like i'm writing about rin and isagi, not rinsagi
a really important part of the writing process at least to me is understanding how two characters work without each other as well as with each other, and that comes easier with some pairings than with others. kaisae for example i get really well how they operate separately. that's how i'm in kaiser's head Like That. but other pairings like the gagaryu fic i've been struggling with for months on end? it doesn't come as naturally
tldr i never really get asked about how i make the characters seem like people and so i yapped about it HAHA sorry for the long-winded response
35. Favorite review you've gotten?
in retrospect it's nothing much but i got this comment on seventeen plus four back in january and i think about it frequently
i still remember where i was when i got it (brushing my teeth in a hotel bathroom). people on ao3 are so kind i love the little community i've built for myself. it truly does mean the world to me <3
