A big part of who Iluka was was tradition. Everything she did and believed in was based on the traditions that raised her and because of that, she took a lot of pride in them. That’s why when it came to choosing a costume this year, she didn’t have to think for more than a few seconds - Moana. A daughter of the chief - or princess as others saw her - that firmly believed in herself and family traditions hit close to home for the Lulukoko native. The native characters of the movie not only reminded her of herself, but the people she left back home. Specifically, how Gramma Tala reminded her of Gramma Tototara, a strong charismatic woman that commanded the attention of those surrounding them. Other than the nostalgic feelings it brought and the strong messages it sent, Iluka also enjoyed that she, too, had a manta ray tattoo for her own reasons.
Hair pulled back into a ponytail and brown eyes staring at him from behind a black mask. This kind of clothing was very form fitting and only served to accentuate his thin frame. In Soseki’s eyes, Westley carried the look better, but it was kind of fun to dress up like this. Especially with Evelyn.
And that love Westley held for Buttercup? He could match it ten times over for what he felt for Evelyn.
Noticing Evelyn was finished dressing as Buttercup, Soseki joined her by the mirror. “You look,” he grasped her hand and twirled her again. “Breathtaking.”

[Costume Party: Porcoline de Sainte-Coquille - Mettaton EX]
Of course, Porcoline’s work didn’t stop at carving pumpkins. He still had to get gussied up for the costume party AND post up a ~special~ episode of Porcoline’s Kitchen.
He had assembled nearly everything he needed for his costume earlier in the season and was excited to finally put it all together. The only downside was that he couldn’t find a suitable wig, but he was fine just settling for a temp dye. The day before, Porcoline colored his hair an inky black. He got looks and questions from regulars and staff at the restaurant. “Going goth for the spooky season?“ But what he had planned was something a little less dark and a little more… glamorous.
Porcoline squeezed himself into a pair of form-fitting black pants. He slipped on his top, a pink chest plate with a dial and speaker holes, flanked by shoulder pads that could take someone’s eye out if he wasn’t careful and metallic, segmented sleeves. His waist was adorned by a belt with a heart on the buckle. Carefully, he applied silvery face paint, accented by lines suggesting metal plating bolted together. While Porcoline certainly didn’t need eyeliner, he decided to give his lashes a little extra oomph. He put on white, wrist-length gloves and stepped into a pair of pink, high-heeled boots. And he topped everything off with his usual toque. Now to just get everything set up in the kitchen, and…
“Marvelous hello, beauties! We interrupt your regularly scheduled programming to bring you a fun, festive Halloween episode of... Cooking with a Killer Robot!” Insert stock studio audience cheering. But unlike that sound effect, this episode’s featured ingredient certainly wasn’t canned. “Tonight, I’ll be showing you how to cook a handful delicious pumpkin dishes. No human souls required!”
The sweet scent of spices lingered in the air while Porcoline edited his recording. He enjoyed a slice of pie as he waited for it to finish uploading. Video up, captions up, everything looked to be in order.
With everything out of the way, it was time to set sail to Leuda!
[ Costume Party - Matai Lux - Pirate ]
Who said that Matai couldn’t have a sense of humor? A pirate dressing up as a pirate for Halloween? It seemed like the perfect decision, honestly. He dressed up in more exaggerated gear, definitely wanting to play it up as much as he could.
He couldn’t help but chuckle as he looked himself in the mirror.

There was no kind of character that suited Alicia better than a femme fatale.
❀ - “ They’re alluring, beckoning you closer with their shape and their bloom, and by the time you realize the peril you’re in, it’s too late.”
Winning a silly little costume contest was of little importance to the witch. She already knew that on all levels she was winner, leagues above those who were looking to compete. That’s why she decided to skip the contest and give the less fortunate a chance to wear the crown. After all, it wasn’t her fault that she was born with natural, goddess-like features.

Halloween was one of the few events still celebrated that Oracle knew about without needing to be told. It had been celebrated for centuries and although it had undergone some changes, it was still a lot of fun to participate in. Sadly, it wasn’t something that she could do anymore, but that didn’t stop her from dressing up. Her costume this year was different from the previous as it didn’t relate to flowers. This time she wanted to try a new design, so she grabbed and made a few real stars and collected them together to make a truly sparkling and bright dress. In the daytime it would only look like a shimmering, blue gown, but at night, that’s when it really came alive.
It was too bad no one would see it.
