Dorothy had been repeating those words over and over again. Her sister had picked out a dress for her during their latest visit and she was still not entirely convinced. She always felt strange going to formal events like this, but... She really did want to get out more. Even if all she did was sit alone.

She just wondered if there was a way she could bring Fern... Maybe in her purse or something. 

Picking up the doll, she smiled softly. “I’ll f-find a w-way to b-bring you along, I p-promise.”

Dear Diary 12.12.25

I realize I never did write about my birthday or anything... My birthday just passed a little over a week ago. It isn’t something I make a big deal about, but I’m happy that Lest remembered. And Papa and Cammy, of course. 

I suppose I am just feeling a little down these days. It’s always a bit strange not having my family with me. Well, apart from Uncle Carter, who came back to Arcadia for the first time in such a long time!

Speaking of, I offered to let him move in with me and Lest. I... Really hope they can get along... 

Also, I didn’t end up going to the masquerade. I feel like it’s something I shouldn’t go to alone. It would just be too overwhelming... But I feel a bit sad about staying home by myself...

I hope everyone is having a good time...
