Episode 9 - Disorganized Rambles
I was a bit frustrated with Dal Po for this episode - I understood him but STILL, but PHR shifted focus to In Ha being AWESOME and proactive, and aaaahh this show I want to hug it.
This show has the stamp of the team all over it. Which means along with the amazing character development, mutually in-love couples and unconventionally honest resolutions, we also have to deal with the format in each episode -- inevitably, each episode begins slow and builds up to a thrilling last 20 minutes.
While Amy (amyhsk) and Lauren (07160914) and I were watching together, this was evident -- while we could chat and comment on things going on for the first half, we would sit huddled in front of the TV, hugging pillows and ourselves up until the end, when we erupted in tears and wails that it is not tomorrow yet.
All in all, things progress so fast -- Hyung went from an interviewee to revealing his past to becoming a national hero to giving out stuffed toys at a orphanage, just like that. Comparatively, Dalpo does seem to be treading water -- I hope he is playing a bigger game here, caught between his two families and struggling. In any case, the latter half of this series is supposed to go through a time jump of a year (to 2014), so many things may yet change.
Inha first accepting and believing in Dalpo even when he couldn't explain is very cool, her later on figuring out the truth behind Dalpo was even cooler. I started tearing up when she did. Dalpo managing to figure out his brother's errors in speech was also very cool; though I felt sorry for the phone that was thrown away. (DC had a thread saying now Ii-soon (Piggy No.2) will be dangerous because phone needed to be replaced. :D)
