The days prior today were spent attempting to make money, losing them, and spending them. Kana already knew he had poor money management but it slapped him in the face when he wanted to make a gift for someone. He already had it planned out. All he needed were the funds, the ingredients, and some effort to pull it off. Thankfully it wasn't too much of a disaster. At the end of the day, he still managed to forge the protective ring. He received a lot of pointers from the folks at the University, so he was pretty proud of the result. Now all that's left was giving it to the birthday girl.
Right around noon when he expected Georgia to be eating lunch, he headed out to Sunset Ranch and called his boss on the phone.
“Hey, Boss! How's your morning?” As soon as someone picks up, he greeted her with as much enthusiasm as he would if she was right in front of her. Which shouldn’t take long, really. He was already at the ranch, her farmhouse already in his field of vision. “I got something important I need to run by ya. You free? It'll only take a minute, and I'm already at your door, ha ha!"
And true enough, he was there at her door steps. A little pouch (cause he can't afford a fancier wrapping) was held in his hands, and a bright grin on his face. As soon as Miss Spitfire appeared, he was ready to greet her loudly and give her his gift.
A ring made of orichalcum and a water crystal, designed not to simply just be a pretty accessory (it would have been a terrible gift, otherwise), but to be useful. The water crystal provided protection from the element it represented. Kana figured it suited her considering she was one hell of a fire mage. Right at the center of the ring was the water crystal, decorated all around with what looked like sunflower petals. It looked like an ordinary ring at first glance, but the magic it held was obvious to those that wielded it. Like a protective layer of water coming from the ring itself. He should know, he tried it on himself, even if it barely fit in his pinky finger.
He missed quite a few birthdays and many other events. This was the least he could do to show her he cared.

In addition to buying himself a box of chocolates and an ungodly amount of roses, Porcoline decides to donate 10,000G to the Explorer’s Guild. He just crams 100 times the money they’re asking for into that little box in a show of appreciation for the Guild’s hard work.
Suddenly, a stampede of corgis come rushing out and barrel him over. He is overwhelmed and overjoyed, dissolving into a fit of giggles as they lick his face. The only downside is that Porcoline has only two hands to pet them all with.

Pet Update
Just a minor update in regard to Gigi’s pets--- she let her cat back out into the wilds of Katz Island, where Laney will take amazing care of it at her cat therapy resort.
And I decided to change Georgia’s big dog (the one she purchased?) into an Australian Shepherd instead of a Golden Retriever. Farm dogs FTW, yo.
So now she has her pug Muku and an aussie shepherd, Roxie. ♡
