Culinary Magic || Felicity & Kai

[ ♥ ] — Felicity sighs contently to herself as she sits on the sun deck of the Frying Pan, enjoy the crisp ocean breeze through her hair as she finishes up what was probably her fifth ordered meal within the last hour alone. 

The waitress had been dining on the ship for the last couple of hours, not in her capacity as a food critic, but rather as an act of leisure. She hadn’t gotten the chance to visit the ship restaurant yet, and since she had some time off of work today, Felicity decided to use this rare free time to come and finally check it out for herself.

And what a wonderful decision it had been. The food here was delicious--- so much so that she just couldn’t get enough of it! She wanted to order even more, perhaps maybe move on to the dessert course, but even Felicity knew she needed to exercise restraint. Everything was better in moderation, and she needn’t exceed her limits.

By the time Felicity’s finishing up her current meal, the sun was already starting to set, covering the ocean and boat in a warm, gentle glow. She smiles at the sight, and then pulls up the Frying Pan’s information on her phone. If she was reading the operating hours right, then the employees should be having an hour break around this time. 

Maybe she could stick around, and wait for the evening hours to begin?

Kyle wiped some sweat from his forehead after setting down some large boxes on the pier to be picked up. He was currently on his shift at Pelago Express, and unfortunately that meant he was setting out all the deliveries scheduled to go to Arcadia. Part of him wondered just what everyone was ordering to warrant such big, heavy boxes. But he could handle it. If he could handle the mines, he could deal with this for a couple hours.

As he took in a deep breath, he noticed a movement in the corner of his eyes. And when he looked over, he saw someone waving at him with a friendly smile. He stared, wondering if it was him. Kyle looked behind him. Nobody. He looked back. Huh...was this guy waving at him? Kyle looked confused.

And then the guy just started to approach him. 

Kyle stared and blinked a few times, “Uh...hi? Can I help you?”

Flower Festival: CuteTea

Porcoline donned his maid uniform, ready for a shift at the café. Pinned to his blouse was a single blue rose, both to serve as decoration and to play up his unattainable desirability to the clientele. Y’know, for funsies.

He passed out flowers to his coworkers, each of them receiving a sunflower, an anemone, an alstroemeria, a lisianthus, and a yellow rose, five flowers tied together in a bow.

“Happy Flower Festival, everyone! I love working with you all so much, and I wanted to show my appreciation. Have a wonderful day!”

Maid My Day

At the maid café, there were several hard-working co-workers and Laney was glad to be a part of the team. Since today's the Flower Festival, she decided to give them a token of her appreciation. She had a white calla lily and a red alstroemeria tied together in a pretty bow with a red satin ribbon. She handed them to each of her co-workers with a grin.

"Thank you for everything you do! Happy Flower Festival! Thank you for being such good co-workers, I've had the most delightful time working with you guys~"

Curiosity || Georgia & Kai

[🐎] — Deep down, some part of her knew how bad of an idea this was going to be, but her stubbornness and curiosity won out in the end, as it often did. A restaurant on a ship... a restaurant that, according to everyone who went, had some of the most delicious food in the entire archipelago. Boat or no, seasickness or no, how could she pass something like that up?

She figured she would just be there long enough for one meal, and then leave once she was done. But that had been under the impression that the boat would remain docked while they ate-- even if it swayed, a stationary vessel was a lot more bearable than a moving one. She didn’t at all take into account the possibility that it’d be sailing the whole time.

...Which it was, and now instead of ordering or eating, Georgia was in her seat, doubled over as her stomach twisted and turned, head aching as nausea began to take over. 

And so, curiosity kills the horse cat.

Kai always was reminded of helping his mother out with the business when he saw himself in a suit and tie; Because of this, the smile on his face was a bit on the bitter side as he eyed himself in the mirror. 

Thankfully, the outfit looked to still fit him well enough. He figured he’d ditch the tie for a violet one, but otherwise, he was satisfied. Maybe he’d even find some good looking people to dance with. The thought turned the smile into a smirk. 

One way or another, he would make it fun.

Benefits || Evelyn & Kai

It had been a while since Evelyn had some overnight company. She had been hoping that her birthday party would have attracted someone, but she had gone up to her hotel room solo. It didn’t completely bother her...but after thinking it over she had realized just how long it had been. Goddess, she needed to step up her game next time.

Thankfully, she knew a guy.

She was lounging around at home after a long day of work, scrolling through her contacts until she saw Kai’s name pop up. They had encountered each other several times before, and they each had the other’s number. What Evelyn would describe him as would be a friend with benefits. He was fun to hang out with...in multiple ways. 

She pressed the call button and heard the line ring a few times. Once she heard the familiar click and a hello, Evelyn smiled.

“Hey there, it’s me,” Evelyn greeted cheerfully, “Are you doing anything tonight? I was thinking of going out drinking soon...but I’d like to have company, if you’d want to tag along.”
