The diner was just about to close, and with the last customer already leaving the doors of the diner, Komari did her best to clean up despite working solo around this time. Chase wasn’t around and her boss was somewhere out, too. Didn’t matter, though. Komari managed to handle the afternoon with ease.
Komari worked quickly, but carefully. All plates were washed, the tables wiped, floors swept... she kept humming along to a song stuck in her head. It was about the woes of a waitress opening up shop for the same old routine that was starting to bore her. For Komari’s case, she was closing up. “Looking around, seeing the same things ♫”
Her routine to clean the diner went by fast, and before she knew it, Komari was already done. The brunette rested by the counter, a mug of tea in hand. She always made sure to have a few handy in case she wanted a drink other than coffee, and considering how it was already evening, coffee was definitely out of the picture if she wanted to sleep tonight.
From where she sat, Komari saw a figure approaching the diner. She thought she forgot to unflip the sign and put it to close, but soon realizes it was someone who had every right to be there regardless if it was closed-- her boss. Komari didn’t want to be on the bad side of her boss, so as soon as he walks into the diner, she gives him the brightest smile she can muster as a greeting.
“Evenin’, Kai!” She still hasn’t picked up actually calling her bosses as ‘boss’ or with proper honorifics, but she hasn’t been called on yet for not being proper.
